I am a mossie and midgie magnet. They love me. I react particularly badly to midgies… enough to ruin holidays. It’s been to the point where it limits where I can travel.
I am currently on holidays at a cattle station inland on Cape York. I knew the mossies would be bad so I googled to see if there was an extra strength spray available that wasn’t deet. I came across this product and read the reviews and was hopeful, so purchased some for our trip. My gosh am I happy I did.
Turns out there are ALSO midgies this far inland (which I wasn’t expecting) and blow me down this spray deters them as well as the mossies! What could have been a really unpleasant camping experience has been rescued by this product. I only wish I bought more.
It also smells lovely and doesn’t leave residue on my skin. I think it’s natural too.
I don’t often write reviews but geez, when you find a product that changes your life, I needed to let others know. Midgies used to just ignore the bushman’s (deet) and bite me anyway. Since using this, I can see them hovering around but not landing on or biting me.
I will be buying more soon.

I bought both the Mosi-Guard roll on and the spray for a trip to Sri Lanka (where I am now) going into the jungles and wet forested humid areas where malaria and other mosquito borne diseases exist. Have been using both for 2 weeks and it works! The roll-on is emollient, not greasy, which I used on my body during sleep time, and the spray I popped into my handbag and used during the day over my clothes and on my skin. Pleasant fragrance too.
This is the only natural repellent that I have found works. Highly recommend!
