Installation
Place the bowl in the ground and fill with beer or yeast dissolved in water which we have found to be the best attractant. The snails and slugs are attracted to the yeast and drown in the liquid.

Not an effective product in my garden. May work for others?
I was hoping for a slug trap with a secure top to deter the dog from getting into it, but the lids of these are not secured at all. They come off very easily. They would be better for my purposes if they were screw on or clicked into place.

Works as expected though one trap did snap with minimal pressure when putting on the roof/lid. Take care when setting up.
