Executioner Bug Zapper – XXL is the big bertha, the largest outdoor bug zapper for Australian conditions. This insect zapping machine is the latest technology in Australia to combat the annoyance of insects whilst we try to enjoy our outdoor areas.
We have managed to reduce the wattage from 50W to 36W which makes it cheaper to run than our previous model, however, the globe technology has a greater attraction rate. This bug zapper provides heavy-duty protection for large backyards. This bug zapper is for larger outdoor areas and will assist in reducing any flying insects such as Mozzies, midgies and moths.
The Executioner Bug Zapper includes a 36W UV lamp that is mounted within a stylish and robust weatherproof casing. Like the other smaller insect zappers we sell, we recommend placing the unit higher above the ground to gain optimum results. Ensure that the unit is placed away from other competing light sources or human activity. The vertical grids mean the dead bugs drop directly from the unit, minimizing cleaning like other units on the market that use the older style horizontal grids.
Insects simply get electrocuted when they touch the inner protected high voltage grid. The insects then drop into a removable dry storage chamber. Great to add to the garden for extra nutrients.
NOTE: Extremely high numbers of mosquitoes or moths can overwhelm any bug zapper, including the XXL model.
The unit’s electrical discharge has a limited capacity and can become temporarily ineffective if too many insects strike at once – the zapper may not fully discharge between insect contacts, reducing its ability to kill bugs efficiently.
For heavy infestations, Pestrol recommends using light-based mosquito traps such as the Outdoor Dominator or the Mighty Mosquito Trap, which are designed to handle larger volumes of insects more effectively using attractant lights and trapping mechanisms.

Executioner Bug Zapper - XXL
The Executioner Bug Zapper - XXL does not have an automatic switch off/on function. You could use a power outlet timer to set times you would like the unit to operate during, but it doesn't have this feature built in.
Our Executioner Bug Zapper Large does have a light sensor which will switch it on and off

Hi Teri, this would certainly help capture more Mozzies.
Thanks for your question.
Before cleaning, always turn the unit off and unplug it from the power.
To clean the grill:
Use a soft brush (such as a small paintbrush) to gently remove stuck insects
A dry cloth or compressed air can also help clear debris
Avoid using water directly on the electrical components
Regular cleaning will help maintain performance.
As always, please follow the product instructions for safe use.
Hey Fiona,
While the Executioner Bug Zapper - XXL may draw a couple of flies in, using a zapper around food isn't ideal, as there is a chance the dead insects can drop from the unit. In a case like yours, the closest item we stock to your specifications would be our Stainless Steel Fly Glue Trap

Mosquito Traps
Just what we expected and wanted – installed, doing its job, working fine!
Love it
We’ve been using the Executioner Bug Zapper XXL for a little while now, and it’s doing a great job. We’ve already had to empty the bottom tray a couple of times — it fills up incredibly quickly thanks to the huge number of flies and other insects in our area.
Works great, don’t think it’s really doing the entire distance it says but catching a lot of various bugs .
The power cable is very short , should be longer as it says to put 2M high but most power sources are low . Hoping using extension cable won’t affect the device
Game changer! Super sized and just like Mc’ds, it fry’s all night! Huge reduction in mosquitoes, only one bite since it was installed. Made the patio a total joy to sit in at night. Highly recommend this product
I think O was hoping for a miracle zapper that keeps the flies away from our pool area. Perhaps they’d be worse without it however I’m not noticing a huge difference. Worth a try though.
Works beautifully
Is this zapper effective in zapping midgies/sandflies (no see ums)?
Going for over a month on the original globe. So it’s already better than the junk you buy at a hardware store starting with a b, and ending with an unnings
quite the beast, on a heavy night it is zapping constantly and i’m loving it
