The Pestrol Possum Repeller deters possums by using ultrasonic sounds generated from the units. A further optional audible setting is available if required.

What is an Ultrasonic Sound
The primary feature of the bird and possum repeller is the ultrasonic signal. Â This is a high-pressure sound that is only slightly audible to humans. Â However, it is very effective at startling and scaring away unwanted pests. Â Using a variable pulse generator, the ultrasonic emits a range of fluctuating sound waves to prevent the pest from becoming accustomed to the sound.
The Pestrol Deterrent operates continuously and has the option of using the built-in motion sensor that activates the unit when animals move into its coverage area. This area size is 24 x 15 metres = 360M2. You can change the setting to be on continuously to aid in controlling smaller animals like rodents and birds.
3 mode settings
Motion Sensor: Â The Motion Sensor will activate the ultrasonic and sonic sounds when it detects the possum pests are in range.
Constant: The Constant setting will activate the ultrasonic and sonic noises and cycle through them at the range you fix at varying intervals. Â The motion detector will deactivate on this setting.
Continuous Sweep: Â The Continuous Sweep will activate a range of sonic and ultrasonic frequencies randomly at intervals. Â The motion detector will deactivate on this setting. Â This is helpful for repelling several different types of pests.

Battery Option
The Pestrol Possum Deterrent is designed for convenience and flexibility, and it is able to be powered with 4 x C cell batteries (not included) to ensure it can be placed wherever needed without reliance on mains power. The efficiency of battery usage varies based on the operational settings chosen and the frequency of activation by the motion sensor. Under typical conditions, the batteries are expected to provide power to the unit for a duration ranging from 4 to 12 weeks. This variability accounts for the natural fluctuations in pest activity and the corresponding response of the device. We recommend monitoring the device’s performance and adjusting its settings or placement as necessary to optimize battery life and effectiveness.
The Possum Deterrent is wall mountable and comes with screws and fasteners for this purpose if required.

Great Product
I had possums peeing over my outdoor verandah, but not any more. The variable setting turns the deterrent on at night and has worked very well, so well in fact I bought a second one for another verandah. I would recommend the product. Good service and delivery too.

So far so good – using this product combined with blocking all obvious access points the possum no longer invades the laundry and seems to be living outdoors in a natural habitat.

The possum deterrent seems to have been extremely effective in keeping the possums away from my lemon tree, combined with sensor lights and the pestrol possum spikes. Unfortunately my neighbours can hear the ultrasonic pulse, which is definitely NOT inaudible to humans, so I have had to alter the settings to motion detection rather than a constant sweep, which I think is preferable. Nevertheless, I’m thrilled with the results so far – three weeks and not a single lemon lost!!

A very good product and working well with the possums .
Possums left inside ceiling the 1st night but moved to roof top. They have since returned to inside ceiling but much quieter and stay away from equipment.
Will readjust setting when a bit cooler
