The principle of Trapping Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes, even in the dark, can easily access where a person is by sensing the carbon dioxide and temperature that he/she sheds. Also, they react extremely sensitively to near-ultraviolet rays. Using these properties of mosquitoes, Pestrol Outdoor Exterminator can decoy and capture mosquitoes both in bright and dark outdoors by a tripartite system: HEAT and A CERTAIN WAVELENGTH RAY produced from the mosquito bulbs installed inside, and CARBON DIOXIDE produced when mosquito bulbs are radiated onto TiO2 coat.
Decoyed mosquitoes enter the exterminator through the capture windows on the upper parts, and they are strongly drawn into the capture net on the lower part. Once they are drawn into the capture net, they cannot fly away upwards due to the strong current of the ventilator. Mosquitoes quickly dehydrate and die. No messy & costly spray.Purifies air through photocatalysis and sterilises sundry bacteria
Using TiO2, ATTENTION-GETTER of ENVIRONMENT PURIFICATION FIELD. A smoke/insecticide-free mosquito trap that simultaneously purifies the air and exterminates mosquitoes has been specially devised.
It is harmless to the environment, livestock and pets, for it is insecticide-free.
TiO2 Photocatalyst Explained:
The effect of photocatalysis used in TiO2 pays attention to the field of pro-environment.
Titanium dioxide, also known as titania, is the naturally occurring oxide of titanium. TiO2 was approved as a food additive in 1968 by the USA. Currently, TiO2 is used in making chocolates and is a harmless material to the human body.
Photocatalysis is a disintegration that uses light energy with TiO2 as a catalyst. TiO2 is not changed, so it can be used permanently. In case there is a little ultraviolet ray from the sun or lamp, TiO2 purifies the air and sterilize ill-smelling molecule by the response to organic matter on the surface of TiO2.
Using energy from light, TiO2 creates two oxidation reactants: hydroxyl radicals and superoxide anion, which decomposes toxic organic substances by oxidation.
Nanotechnology
It uses mosquito bulbs and funnels. It can generate carbon dioxide and moisture, and heat in the device when it runs. Emulates human breath, and decoyed mosquitoes enter inside.
Titanium Dioxide’s photo-catalytic characteristic is greatly enhanced due to the advent of nanotechnology. At the nano-scale, not only does the surface area of titanium dioxide particle increases dramatically, but also it exhibits other effects on optical properties and size quantization.
great product. We are right on an estuary near mouth of the Logan River and mosquitoes are horrendous. This mostly keeps them away from out outdoor area. We get a few on dusk but much better than previously. The midges are a different issue and it doesnt help much with these.
I also always buy pestrol regular for the inside of the house and in 15 yeas we have never needed to have a pest control person into our property and we dont have screens on our doors.
I work servicing wastewater systems which are always full of mozzies that then enter the house I gifted this unit to a customer as a test, absolute success I feel the whole estate will buy them!!!
Exceeds expectations. At any time of the day, there would be dozens flying around or hiding in our patio. We ran the trap from dusk til dawn for a few weeks, which wiped them out. The trap only runs from around 3–6am now, which seems to be enough to keep them at bay. Amazing product.
The house is close to a wetland (swamp)
This product keeps mosquitos away from the house and the yard. No noise, no smell.
Works well catching so many flying bugs that otherwise would enter the house from the enclosed outdoor area at night.
Unfortunately the Pestral insect Repellant unit for outdoors did not repel insects even when I received the booster parcel.
Works great but picks up a few friendly bugs
Great device. No longer do I need to sit outdoors covered in mosquito repellent.
It was quiet at first but now the fan seems slightly off centre and creates and louder humming noise. doesn’t seem to catch as many bugs
Very effective
