There are 23 possum species in Australia, the most common species are the common ringtail possum and the common brushtail possum. Possums are also native to Papua New Guinea and they have introduced species into NZ and China. Possums are nocturnal marsupials and love to live in hollowed-out trees or up high in nests that they build in bushes or trees. Generally, they are mainly herbivores but are also known to eat insects and bird eggs. Initially I thought the trap was a bit too small but it is working well. The trap mechanism works well, despite being complex. The release gate can be awkward, particularly with an agitated animal in the trap. However, it works!

This possum trap is brilliant. It is well-made, very sturdy and WORKS! We relocated 3 possums over 3 nights. The trap cover is also good quality and I think the two items are best purchased in conjunction.
