This mechanical bird scare cannon is designed to protect your valuable agricultural investments, offering an effective and humane solution to keep your fields and orchards free from unwanted feathered visitors. Powered by readily available, economical propane gas, the innovative bird deterrentt produces an average of 120-decibel blast without harming nature and all living creatures and protects large agricultural areas/farmlands against undesirable birds and wild animals.

      Disclaimer: These cannons make a very loud noise to scare birds away, these are intended for use in rural areas for a high bird infestation. We will not accept refunds for this item due to the cannon being too noisy, even within our 30-day return period. If you’re in a suburban area or have neighbours close by, we strongly advise you to check with them first before making a purchase.

      How to Use

      1. Begin by attaching the end barrel (No.30) to the main body protruding from the box. Utilize a 10-11 wrench to secure it in place, ensuring that the barrel remains stable. Note that the diaphragm (No.29) on the main body’s muzzle should not be removed.
      2. Connect the fine adjustment valve (No.39) to the small cylinder.
      3. Switch the device’s safety catch to the ON position.
      4. Open the valve on the cylinder.
      5. Gradually adjust the upper valve (Fine regulating valve) of the device to the 1.5 position. As you do this, you will observe the bellows beginning to inflate, followed by a “click” sound after some time. Once the inflation process is complete, the bellows will discharge and reset. The device will now detonate at regular intervals. Avoid fully opening the sensitive adjustment valve during the initial setup, as this might prevent proper detonation.
      6. You can modify the burst time setting by manipulating the valve setting—opening and closing it.
      7. If you move the sensitive adjustment valve towards the zero position (0), the device’s detonation timing will be prolonged.
      8. Operate the device within a blasting time range of 2 to 20 minutes. Please do not use it for durations shorter or longer than this range.
      9. Apply engine oil to lubricate the device once per week.
      10. When not using the device, close the valve and switch it to the SAFETY position.
      11. For operating the device with a larger tube, please inquire with our company about obtaining a regulator. Note that this may incur an additional charge.

      Precautions

      • If you observe that the safety is engaged upon receiving the device initially or during subsequent use, ensure that the silicone hose depicted in drawing-3 is not obstructed or crushed. A blocked silicone hose could impede gas flow. If it is obstructed, unscrew the hose, gently open it using your fingers, and then reposition it.
      • During the initial startup, the gas in the bellows might not fully fill the gas tank, potentially leading to a weak or silent initial explosion. In this case, wait for the hammer to fall again while the fine adjustment valve is set to the 2 position.

      How long does a gas cylinder last?

      A 9kg Gas Cylinder will provide approximately 9,000 bursts from the Mechanical Bird Scare Cannon. (Approx 1,000 bursts per kg of Cylinder)

      If the cannon is operated on double burst, every 5 minutes for 12 hours during the day, the cannon will activate 24 times in 1 hour, which will provide 288 bursts per day.

      Using this example, our cannon, using a 9kg cylinder will have an average usage time of approximately 31 days.

      The longevity would depend on the size of gas cylinder used with the Bird Scare Cannon - Mechanical, but an average cylinder makes roughly between 3000-5000 explosions.

      Hey Gregory,
      We have had some customer feedback for the Bird Scare Cannon - Mechanical which they've told us it has been useful on wild dogs, but we haven't done this testing ourselves at this stage.

      The unit operates by creating a loud sound when it activates, I'd imagine it would be frightening for most animals, not just birds.

        This magical device I’ll call it the Pigeon Persuader is an absolute game changer fr our outdoor spaces that have been under attack by pigeons. I recently purchased a bird scare cannon from Pestrol , and it works a treat with our battle against the ever growing pesky pigeon population that have been using our sheds and storage areas are their personal bathrooms.
        Not only has it effectively deterred these unwelcome visitors but it was given me a newfound sense of power.         Boom! And They Were Gone!

        I was having a real headache with birds hanging around my property, causing a mess and damage. Decided to give the Bird Scare Cannon a go, and I’m stoked with the results. After a few blasts, the birds took off, and they haven’t come back since. Simple to use, and the noise is just enough to send them packing without being a nuisance to me.

        This was great for my fruit trees, i used their laser product around my home for pesky birds. so far real happy.
