Installation
What you will need:
- A ladder that will reach at least 4 meters long
- Drill
- Drill bit
- Hex – dead driver and/or 3/8 socket and driver
Our nesting boxes come flat packed to keep the postage cost down, basic assembly is required. Simple to put together, all you’ll need is a screwdriver (preferably powered)!
Parrots are beautiful birds and having a nesting box can be fantastic for encouraging parrots or removing them from your close proximity if they become too loud.
Internal Dimensions:
400mm x 170mm x 170mm.
Entry hole for the nesting box: 65mm
Please check our other nesting box product range.
Hole too big, drop too low. Allows kookaburras to reach in and eat babies.
Specialist advice: You should only have a 50 mm hole and the box needs to be about 500 deep so kookaburras can’t reach the babies.
Easy to assemble
Easy assembly great quality and apparently the lorikeets love it!
Still sitting in the box waiting to be put together, did not realise it would be such a task, with drill holes etc required to be made. It will be a 2 person job. I’m sure once together the parrots will love them.
The boxes are fine . We are waiting for definitive response from the prospective residents
Great product and great delivery process!
great product, solid and easy to assemble
Totally agree with Stewart, a few simple instructions would take the guess work out of it,, e.g. do the steps on front panel go inside for birds to climb up/down or on outside to help with landing and climbing to entry hole. I put them on outside but added chicken wire on inside for birds/chicks to climb up to hole. Would also appreciate info on painting,, is the only weatherproof on its own or rely upon me using good outdoor sealing paints. Generally well made but didn’t exactly fit together perfectly. Other than above a good product, probably overpriced for what you get. BTW I called supplier and left contact details to discuss above issues, no response.
