Hi can this product be used in a vegetable and herb garden where there are consumables. Is it safe for edible plants where there is human consumption of these plant products eg. vegetables citrus herbs and fruits? Lilli asked on 16 May 2025

Hey Lilli,
Multicrop EcoGrub 3 in 1 can be used on edible plants by applying it around the base of plant, avoiding foliage contact. If it splashes on leaves and produce, rinse them with water. After application, hose it into the soil to reach grubs. If treating before planting, apply and wait 3 days before planting vegetables. There is no withholding period, but always wash vegetables before eating. The product is made from natural ingredients and contains no harmful synthetic poisons

Can I use EcoGrub 3 in 1 on an Australian Native garden? Will it harm the plants? We have Kookaburras that eat the grubs at the moment. Will it harm the Kookaburras if we use this? Mel asked on 22 March 2025

Hey Mel,
Multicrop EcoGrub 3 in 1 can be used on Australian native gardens, as it is made from naturally derived ingredients and contains no harmful synthetic poisons. It is generally safe for use on most plants, including native species. However, it's always recommended to test the product on a small area first to ensure there are no adverse reactions.

Regarding the Kookaburras, the product is designed to be environmentally friendly and does not leave harmful residues in the soil. However, there are some considerations:

1. The product contains natural eucalyptus and tea tree oil, which are native to Australia, making it less likely to harm native wildlife.

2. While EcoGrub is not a scheduled poison, it's still an insecticide that kills grubs, which are a food source for Kookaburras.

3. There is some concern about birds eating treated insects, but specific information on EcoGrub's effect on Kookaburras is not provided.

To minimize potential risks to Kookaburras:

1. Apply the product as directed, ensuring it penetrates the soil where grubs are located.

2. Allow the treated area to dry completely before allowing birds to access it.

3. Consider using alternative methods of grub control if you're particularly concerned about the Kookaburras' well-being.

If you decide to use EcoGrub, monitor the Kookaburras' behavior and health after application. If you notice any unusual changes, discontinue use and consult a local wildlife expert.

I have 2 dogs isEcoGrub safe in liquid form where dogs lay or dig Carlene asked on 6 February 2025

Hey Carlene,
Multicrop EcoGrub 3 in 1 is generally considered safe for use around pets, including dogs, when used as directed. The product is made from naturally derived ingredients and contains no harmful synthetic poisons, which reduces the risk of toxic residues in the soil. However, it is important to follow some precautions:

1. Pet Safety: Dogs can safely enter the treated area once the product is dry, which may take a few hours. If your dogs tend to graze on the lawn, it's advisable to discourage them from doing so until after the first mowing, and remove any lawn clippings to prevent ingestion

2. Application and Drying Time: Ensure the product is fully dry before allowing pets to access the area. This reduces the risk of accidental ingestion or skin contact.

3. Digging: While the product is safe for the soil and does not harm earthworms, it's still important to ensure your dogs are not ingesting large amounts of treated soil. If your dogs frequently dig in the treated area, monitor their behavior and health closely.
