Mosquito Traps

I purchased this for my father who is an avid walker in the AUS outback. I really wasn’t expecting it to work great, but WOW, it is incredible. He stands there, while his mates are full of flies. Great product!
Almost exactly what the doctor ordered, but nonetheless the most successful assistive tech I’ve purchased for mostly mozzies and types of flies. Works well with mozzies, with nearly all that land ending up on my lower legs and feet. [Although I’m confined to a powered wheelchair, and my feet situate around 3-4 feet from my cap depending on my posture.]
The success rate for flies is higher, with house flies, midges, and sand flies among those. However the effectiveness against March Flies is less, though not too much, and they’re persistent at the best of times.
But in retrospect, I do live coasterly at an establishing Mangrove tidal beach; surrounded by salt pans, a bird sanctuary housing avian species that unfortunately don’t consume insects as their main food sources, and plants the pests love to roost in. And as a Federally protected environment, we’re unable to industrially spray (anymore).
Serves it purpose: to keep determined insects I often can’t shoo-away, due to my left hand being fixed to my furkids’ leash. Who notably, are benefiting from their 3-3.5 foot placement (running) alongside my off-roader.
? customer, only regret being I do wish the rim hat version was in stock when I bought. As it would protect more of my shaved head.
