      No, Clear Out won't kill insects directly, as it doesn't use a pesticide. How this product works is that it will break down a the debris that builds up in your pipes, which drain flies use as a food source, so by eliminating the food source, the drain flies will die off. I don't have any feedback to suggest that this will work with cockroaches.

      No, Drain Fly Eliminator - Clear Out would not work in the instance that you're describing. This is a probiotic foam which will break down scum build up within a drain which drain flies use as their feeding/breeding ground. Once the scum has cleared, the drain flies won't have anything to feed on and should die after application.

If it's a drain fly issue, what Clear Out will do is eliminate the muck and grime build up that can form in shower and sink pipes, which drain flies will use as their feeding/breeding ground. The Probiotic foam will break down the organic build-up, biofilm and decaying matter in the pipe which will thin out and eventually eliminate the drain flies.

        I have tried fly sprays, I have tried bleach, I have tried baking soda nothing worked and within days the flies are back. I applied the drain fly eliminator then reapplied 3 days later to target any eggs that were not killed by the first application. I am happy to say we are drain fly free . This product works.
